A head for business and a heart for helping people have ensured Wendy Barker has become a leader in her industry. Wendy has dedicated more than 30 years in the skin care industry and continues to extend her advanced clinical and business expertise among skin care professionals throughout New Zealand.
As a spa consultant, recognised educator, researcher, aesthetician, spa owner, and distributor to the Australasian market, she has conducted seminars throughout New Zealand and Australia, educating skin care specialists, aestheticians, dermatologists and nurses on skin health, skin disorders and their prevention.
Wendy launched the Champs-Elysees Beauty Day Spa in Christchurch’s luxurious OGB, Heritage Hotel in 2000, and grew the business exponentially, winning the very prestigious BEST CLINIC/SPA in New Zealand award in 2005, judged by NZ Beauty Therapy Association. This was following the runner-up award in 2003. Today she is considered one of the pioneers in the day spa industry.
